No stranger to the game of Hurling Diarmuid Lyng is a former Wexford Senior Hurling star who’s life practically revolved around the game for many years. Returning to his native county Wexford Diarmuid stopped by the L’Ash Go Leor workshop to discuss how the Hurley Making Process has evolved through the years. Joined by All Ireland Camogie medal winner Brigit Doyle and hurley makers Philip Doyle and Matt O’Neill, Diarmuid chats about the type or sticks used which included the use of Holly, Sally sticks to Hurl and sometimes were as simple as breaking an Ash stick off from a tree in a hedge.
